By-Elections Poor Turnout Shows BC Not Happy With The Political Party System

Time to end the Political Party Monopoly on our Democratic Institutions.

As an observer of the by-elections in Chilliwack-Hope and Port Moody-Coquitlam, I can only surmise by the very lack of voter turnout that the people of British Columbia are not happy with any of the choices. The main stream media has been working hard to try and sell us that the BC Conservative Party are something new, much like the Wild Rose Party in Alberta. The fact is they are not. As this website has been chronicling for some time that the BC Conservative Party is the new BC Liberal vehicle for all the BC Liberal insiders because everyone knows the BC Liberal brand is on the path to electoral annihilation.

The People of BC are wanting something new, even more importantly, something that truly represents their interests. No one wants another BC Liberal Party of corporatists re-branded under the BC Conservative Party, or the the NDP that keep pushing the same failed 19th century polices that destroyed the Soviet Union and left places like North Korea or Cuba as current economic basket cases. The People of BC are fed up with the same song and dance we hear day in day out, as the political parties, and their supportive cast in the media, keep trying to convince us there is only really two choices to represent our interests in the legislature. These so-called “political pundits” do not have their fingers on the pulse of the people of BC, because their information is all based upon polls (see push polling). Their media input is only to sway your opinion, but not gauge it.

The fires of change are starting. You may not see it fully in the May 2013 election but certainly by the following election. The fact is people have lost faith in the political party system. When you talk to anyone in the streets, beside hardcore party loyalists, you will find that the opinion is virtually the same about political parties and their politicians. The opinion is that political parties are controlled by big special interests, while the people of BC’s interests (the majority) are not being represented.

The time for real political change is here, and that change is to end the political party monopoly on our democratic institutions. What is resonating out there is having independents being elected to the legislature. We have seen successes in Delta South with Vicki Huntington and will no doubt see more independents being elected in other ridings throughout the province.

As a conservative philosophically, I believe the majority will vote naturally for independent candidates that have conservative/libertarian world views, and even more importantly for those that stand for individual rights of their constituents. Regardless of the independent member of the legislature’s world view, ultimately they need to prove they represent the interests of the people who elect them. Not the interests of a political party, nor the multi-national corporations looking for special privileges, or of the interests of union monopolies in our public sector.

This is nothing new having independents elected to the legislature, because in the early days of British Columbia’s political history, it was for the most part, all elected independents. BC is nearly 60 billion in the hole, decades of poor political party management of our province, endless scandals and corruption, and the possibility of losing some of the low cost advantages of abundant resources British Columbians enjoy. We need to make the change, and make it soon, or there will be nothing left for the people to British Columbia to make decisions on anymore.

This website endorses the move towards the advancement of electing 85 independent candidates in all electoral constituencies throughout our great province. I understand that the BC First Party, even though a political party, wants to change to become a vehicle to assist in getting independent candidates elected. I support them 100 percent on this noble endeavour. The people of BC want and will support it, even though the big conglomerate media, public sector unions, and big multi-national businesses will fight it tooth and nail to prevent this from happening. Lets work together at making sure the big special interests can no longer control the outcome of elections and manipulate the people of BC into buying into their outdated and corrupt political party system to do their bidding.

Please, People of British Columbia, start organizing around your independent community leaders, and get them elected as your local MLA. It is the only hope for our great province’s future.

John van Dongen leaves Liberals to join BC Conservatives.

You heard it here first folks, well before any defections began. This was planned all along. Now watch as the move from the BC Liberals to the BC Conservatives has now entered into its pre-election final phase for the complete re-branding of the same people into to different party. The final phase is to have orderly defections leading up to the May 2013 election.

20 years ago this would have been for real but since its nothing more than a brand name change no one should be surprised. I’m sure the main stream media will be clucking like early morning hens that this is “shocking” and “surprising” but its not. This is planned. The corporatists who run both the BC Liberals and the BC Conservatives need to know at least this conservative isn’t buying it. Hostile takeover is a better name for what is happening as the New BC Liberals rise under the New BC Conservatives. Just once I would like to see one major media figure pop this bubble and show how the rise of the New BC Conservatives has been orchestrated the day they knew the BC HST backfired.

Rebrand! Rebrand! Rebrand! – nothing more nothing less.

A “handful” of Falcon backers flee to BC Conservatives | Vancouver Sun.

The above link takes you to the story where the Vancouver Sun (who support the BC Liberals) are reporting that Kevin Falcon supporters are leaving to join the BC Conservative Party. This article is just further proof that the BC Liberals are moving purposely over to the BC Conservative Party. This website has chronicled this event for some time now.

For most people in BC they might be duped into believing this is the BC Liberals hemorrhaging support over to the BC Conservatives. At least this is what the accomplice media want you to believe. This could not be further from the truth. This has been organized for nearly two years now. With the electoral death of the BC Liberals by one Gordon Campbell and the fact Christy Clark (read whomever they wanted to make leader) can not get the BC Liberals out of the downward spiral, the BC Liberal brass are making sure Plan B (or now can be considered Plan A) is in full swing.

I noted in prior articles that the move to the BC Conservatives is fully planned to ensure the same group of demolition drivers that operate the BC Liberals have a new party to wreck in the future. I said the media (accomplice media) will start to build on rumours and defections to the BC Conservative Party. This is an attempt to make it look like the BC Conservatives are growing and slowing building credibility. This is culminate with BC Conservative seats being won and following those seats being won a call for a leadership change. A great play for all to watch and see but it will be bundled up as an exciting thriller for the masses to believe the BC Conservatives are going to something new when indeed they are not.

It is going to be hard on those in the BC Conservative Party who genuinely believe there is going to be real change, but the only change they will see after the elections is the transfer of personnel from the BC Liberals over to the BC Conservative Party will be completed. Nothing new, just the same group of power brokers (working for globalists) who run the BC Liberals will be in charge, running the same destructive antidemocratic, anti-free enterprise, corporatist and monopolistic policies of the party before. For them its just a brand name change, nothing more, nothing less.

Watts laughs off rumour she wants to lead B.C. Conservatives

I just wrote yesterday in a response to Geoff Plant’s blog post about “what John Cummins really wants” and what I spoke about is proving to be true. However, I never thought it would be within 24 hours. I’m laughing off this rumour for other reasons.

Just like I said, the BC Conservative Party are being prepared by BC Liberals as the next vehicle to trash. I mentioned that the establishment gang will would work to replace John Cummins as leader following the end result of the May 2013 election. John is only a steward of the BC Conservative brand name and he knows it. Cummins is in place to make sure people like Chris Delaney (Fight HST) would not be leading the BC Conservative Party and to ensure a back room transition from the BC Liberals to the BC Conservatives is completed smoothly. The establishment gang will make sure the game is fixed.

Here we are seeing them work to dupe the public into believing that it is democracy as usual. Those within the establishment have begun the propaganda to start to build credibility with the BC Conservative Party by name dropping possible big name leadership contenders.

Yes, the way is being prepared to once again lie to the people of British Columbia using a new vehicle that will promote false hope in the real conservatives through out BC. The media will be all over it because the establishment gang own the media. The same band of corporatists will take it all over, manage who they want in control, and you guessed it, spending will remain out of control, campaign promises will be dropped, debt will rise, selling off of BC assets will continue to the Bilderberger gang of globalists, and in the end the game remains rigged to get what they want.

We need to stop this charade now for all British Columbians.

Geoff Plant: What does John Cummins really want? – CityCaucus.com.

I can answer this question even though I believe Geoff Plant already knows the answer. I understand the spin that uniting the right under the BC Liberals is the way to go. We have been hearing the same story since 1996 when Gordon Campbell lost the election to the BC NDP. What should have been a win turned into blame everyone else on the right but Gordon Campbell campaign. Here we go again as it never ends from these guys. This time don’t believe it.

This pillow fight going on between the corporate establishment is an insult to our intellect. How dumb do you think the people are? We know fully well what John Cummins is up to.

Here is my explanation to Geoff Plant in response to his blog posting.

Come on Geoff, you know the real reason. Cummins was brought in to be the back up plan since the BC Liberals might see electoral an wipe-out because of Gordon Campbell’s corporatist leadership. This is just like the end of Social Credit Party and how the BC Liberal vehicle was set up to be the new Social Credit. Now the BC Conservatives are being prepared to be the new BC Liberal former Social Credit machine.

Cummins is a steward of the BC Conservative Party nothing more nothing less. He made sure Chris Delaney was bumped out of the way over the HST and to ensure a future leadership election will take place in the BC Conservative Party following the May 2013 election so the establishment gang of globalists put their guy in. The game is rigged.

The question you should be asking is why is there so many former BC Liberals running the BC Conservative Party? Hedging a few bets or preparing the way?

The problem Geoff is no one believes you guys anymore. We are sick and tired of the garbage you attempt to sell off to real conservatives. Just admit to the fact none of you have one ounce of conservatism in your bones. You are not even liberals. You are corporatists. Selling off the assets that belong to the rate payers of BC. Remember us? The taxpayers?

When this website went live I wanted to make sure the public are aware that the BC Conservative Party is nothing more than a new car being brought out of the garage so the same demolition drivers who ran the Social Credit Party into the ground, who are running the BC Liberal Party into the ground, have a new vehicle to drive into the ground.

British Columbians are going to stand up to the wholesale selling off of our assets. We need a government that will not allow the globalists who are wanting our sea ports, railways, gas, oil, water, forests, minerals, and hydro power to decide our election outcomes. We can’t trust the NDP, BC Liberals, or the BC Conservative Party to protect our interests because those parties are bought and paid for. Sadly there are many good members in those parties who are being duped. Wake up! They are using you like Lenin’s Useful Idiots.

There is a new paradigm coming to BC politics because We, the people of BC, cannot trust the political parties any further. It will be a movement towards electing independents. Watch for it because it is coming soon. Check out BC First, as we need an alliance of British Columbians, from all sides of the political sphere to stand up and agree on one thing, British Columbia belongs to the People of British Columbia.

No this isn’t about a Humble Pie song but about 30 Million more in the Hole for BC Taxpayer’s money being thrown out the window because of BC Liberal incompetence over the handling of a uranium mine exploration permits in the Okanagan. How much more can the people of British Columbia take of Billions being wasted by the BC Liberal Government? I suspect no more. The political corruption is too deep with this political party and I believe the 2013 BC Election will be about anyone but Liberals.

There is a great opportunity for a political party to score some points right now. I suggest that one of them needs to put together a “bill” or “invoice” of all the BC Liberals costs to British Columbia and send it to the BC Liberal Party for payment on behalf of the People of British Coumbia. Please make it very public. In can include the loss of BC Rail, Run of the River Power Purchase guarantees, HST, Basi-Virk affair, Fish Farms, and many more. Its time the people of BC stand up and defeat this government. To conservatives that support the BC Liberals, give your heads a shake, this gang is about as conservative or as free enterprise as the Communist Party of China. The BC Liberal Party is Corporatist. Conservatives are supposed to have a soul and in this case the BC Liberal Party lacks any sense of conscience or common sense. They have been selling out BC assets to outside interests since 2001. They have lied on every major issue. It’s time to put them out to pasture.

Changing the BC Liberal leader has done nothing. Christy Clark has shown she is just a new paint job on the same vehicle. Everything she said she would not do she has done just like Gordon Campbell. The BC Liberals had a slogan that said a “New Era” but we should be all shouting “End The Era”.

Former Federal Conservative MP and BC Conservative Party Tactical Advisor is Voting Yes to abolish the HST Against his Leader John Cummins on the HST.

John Cummins, leader of the BC Conservative Party, clearly does not have the support of his own party brass over the HST. If former federal Conservative MP and tactical advisor for the BC Conservative Party, Reed Elley, is voting to scrap the HST this shows his own party members and former MP’s are not willing to follow his lead on the HST.

John Cummins is proving he is not only out of touch with the people of BC but even with some of his closest advisors. The people of BC do not want the HST and most real conservatives do not want the HST. Conservatives in BC want a tax system managed by BC not in Ottawa.

This website applauds former MP Reed Elley for taking a truly principled position on the HST.

Cummins named leader of B.C. Conservatives – British Columbia – CBC News.

This site has been claiming since its inception that John Cummins along with his cohorts in the BC Conservative Party “tactical advisory group” (see Randy White) had planned this from the beginning. From the fall of 2009.

It is a very simple reason. Federal Conservatives allied to the BC Liberals wanted to ensure the protection of the Harmonized Sales Tax and the so-called “Coalition” and worked to take over the BC Conservative Party board. When Randy White and John Cummins appeared out of nowhere in the fall of 2009 to support the BC Conservative Party the BC Conservatives were firmly against the HST with Chris Delaney leading the charge. These fed Cons allied to the BC Liberals managed to snake in a number of BC Liberals onto the provincial board through appointments with full voting privileges. Board president McGrath gladly helped them install hand picked former BC Liberals to the point that the appointed outnumbered the elected on the provincial board.

Yes folks, what you see with the election of the John Cummins was the culmination of nearly a year and half of undermining the BC Conservative Party constitution and Machiavellian maneuvers obviously orchestrated from the BC Liberal/fed Conservative backrooms. THEY DID NOT WANT CHRIS DELANEY TO BE LEADER. That simple folks. Protect their political interest by invading a party with their BC Liberal little minions who under orders where to chase out the FIGHT HST people within the party and make sure the brand name “bc conservative” was under their control.

Cummins is 69 years of age I don’t think he cares if the BC Conservative Party is able to rise. The only reason he is in the show is to control who runs the BC Conservative Party. Nice little retirement job. Had the BC Conservative Party been anti HST it would clearly defeat the BC Liberals in the next election. Now that the BC Liberal fed Con operatives have control of the BC Conservative Party they can use it as leverage to get the BC Liberals to do what they want them to do. Remember back in 2004 after the BC Rail fiasco started to unfold, John Reynolds made it very public that if the BC Liberals got too close to the federal Liberals in Ottawa then they (Fed Cons) would raise up the BC Conservative Party. Now the fed Cons just have to say to the BC Liberals do this or do that or else we unleash the BC Conservative Party. Had Chris Delaney been leader it would have been a different story. Then they would have the possibility of a Danny Williams on the west coast instead of a lackey puppet premier at the helm and a puppet leader for the BC Conservatives.

The bottom line is the BC electorate is being duped by backroom dealings to make them think the BC Conservative Party are for real. They are not. Just look at the hypocritical statements by John Cummins. One minute he is railing against the BC Liberals over the HST yet on the other hand worked hard to prevent the BC Conservative Party from passing a policy to abolish the HST at the May 2010 convention in Kelowna. Remember John Cummins voted in FAVOUR OF THE CURRENT HST not against it. Had Cummins thought the People of BC were being lied to, then why did he support the lie by voting in favour of the HST for BC? He is all over the map yet the media is giving him a free pass. But this website will not.

Its time for the BC Media to get off their butts and start doing real investigative journalism. It does not take much research to check out the backgrounds of the BC Conservative Party provincial board directors to see the connections to the BC Liberals and the fed Cons all over this one.

To the people of British Columbia, you deserve better than this dog and pony show. Don’t buy it. It may be a different pile of manure but its all coming from the same horse.

If you want to make a real difference support the BC First Party. A party built by the people of BC for BC. www.BCFirst.com

Alie: I want to represent the people of Point Grey to Victoria, not Victoria to the people of Point Grey

VANCOUVER – (Wednesday, April 27, 2011) – BC First candidate for MLA Danielle Alie announced today that she will challenge Premier Christy Clark in the by-election in the riding of Vancouver – Point Grey. Alie, a businesswoman and a Charted Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University has lived in BC for 33 years – 15 in the riding of Point Grey. She is married with two young boys.

“I want to help the people of Point Grey hold the government to account. I believe the BC Liberals are taking this riding for granted, and I intend to give them a serious challenge. Premier Clark cannot just sweep everything her government has done under the rug now that she’s been chosen their leader. They have a lot to answer for, and I intend to use this by-election to get answers for the people of Point Grey,” said Alie.

BC First Party Spokesperson Chris Delaney said his party is thrilled to have a candidate of such high calibre as Ms. Alie.

“Danielle is new to politics, but she is not new to business or to understanding the needs of working families. She owns a business, works part time as a school teacher, and is raising a family. She has the experience and ability to make a great MLA, and we are extremely pleased that she has agreed to be the very first candidate ever to run for our new party in a BC election,” said Delaney.

Alie says she is running to win, and will work hard to get her message out that there is a credible alternative to the corrupt BC Liberals and the discredited NDP. “Everywhere I go, people tell me they want another party to vote for. They are tired of the Liberals, but don’t want to return to the NDP. BC First is that party, and I’m proud to be our first candidate for office.”

“One of the biggest problems in government today is the people no longer feel represented. They feel that their concerns are shoved aside in favour of big, powerful interests that control both the Liberals and the NDP. To change that, we need to change the system and the parties that created it. BC First will do that. This is a chance to rebuild our democracy in BC. It is very exciting,” Alie commented.

Alie says her priorities will be holding the government to account for their betrayal on the HST and on the massive deficits and debt they have created, as well as the backroom deals in the BC Rail scandal that saw two convicted criminals receive over $6 million in legal fees paid by the taxpayers of BC. She says she is concerned about the giveaway of BC Hydro to foreign corporations, and will fight to ensure her constituents are consulted on the proposed Broadway Corridor Sky Train extension before it is approved.

“I will not stand by while this government destroys businesses and neighbourhoods without consultation or compensation as they did on the Cambie line. That was totally unacceptable, and it will not be repeated if I have anything to say in the matter.”

Alie says she will put everything she has into making her campaign successful. “I want to serve. I am willing to listen. I love people, and I am excited about the opportunity to represent their concerns to Victoria in this historic by-election.”

DIX LEADERSHIP SIGNALS CHOICE BETWEEN TWO “CLARK ERAS” FOR BRITISH COLUMBIA | BC First Party.

BC First only centrist alternative between extremes offered by NDP/Liberals

VICTORIA – (April 19, 2011) The election of Adrian Dix as Leader of the NDP represents a hard left turn that will take British Columbians back to the disastrous administration of Premier Glen Clark, where Mr. Dix first cut his teeth as Chief of Staff, says BC First Communications Director Blake MacKenzie.

MacKenzie says Dix’s advice and efforts were instrumental in many of Glen Clark’s key policies, which saw British Columbia’s economy and social fabric decimated. He says the same overspending, increased taxation, and massive debt British Columbia is experiencing under the BC Liberals were also hallmarks of the Dix/Clark government.

“We now have a choice between two ‘Clark Eras’ – the Christy Clark era or a return to the Glen Clark era with Adrian Dix. For most British Columbians, that is no choice at all,” said MacKenzie. “Both are tax and spend parties that don’t cared how much debt they pile up so long as their supporters are rewarded.”

MacKenzie says his party represents a fresh start for British Columbia with policies designed to serve the people, not special interests.

“It was on Adrian Dix’s watch that the Clark government blew billions on the Island Highway, the fast ferries, and sent businesses packing with the imposition of the corporation capital tax. Christy Clark is a strong supporter of the hated HST and the continuation of Gordon Campbell’s big spending policies like the casino in Vancouver, and the sell off British Columbia’s assets like BC Ferries, BC Hydro and our highways.”

“We need business and we need labour, but government’s proper role is to act as a mediator between those interests on behalf of the people, not an advocate at the expense of the people,” said MacKenzie.

MacKenzie says his party will kill the HST and the carbon tax, restore BC Hydro as a fully public utility, and provide sales tax breaks to businesses that create jobs in BC.

“It’s time for a real change. British Columbians have had enough of self serving governments that spend our province into oblivion. It’s time to put BC first,” concluded MacKenzie
