Well Mr. Editor (Fletcher), the people of BC were lied to over the HST and Ida Chong was an accomplice to the lie. She could have stood up against it but didn’t. She did not act in the capacity as an MLA for Oak Bay Gordon Head, she was acting in the capacity as one of Gordon Campbell’s lackeys. It’s Time to Elect the Right Party for British Columbia – Is there any choices?
British Columbia is at a crossroads politically. The issue we face is the complete lack of mainstream political parties to choose from. When the BC Liberal government introduced the HST it caused an electoral backlash not seen in decades if not ever. The people of BC clearly did not what the tax and what was apparent that no political party was there to oppose it immediately. The danger we face is voting a government out of office rather than electing a government into office. We made this mistake in 1991 and we can’t repeat the errors of our past again. Continue reading
